David Cobben, MD, PhD, is a Senior Lecturer in Radiation Oncology at the Division of Molecular and Cancer Sciences (University of Manchester) and Honorary Consultant Clinical Oncologist (The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester) with a specialist interest in lung cancer radiotherapy.
David Cobben trained in Maastricht until 2012 and worked as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Clinical Scientist in the Netherlands and Northern Ireland until 2017. In 2017 he accepted a Senior Lecturer-Honorary Consultant position in Manchester.
His interests lie in the development of advanced radiotherapy techniques, measuring and improving quality of lung cancer care and decision support in lung cancer radiotherapy.

In April 2018 an APEP student (3rd medical student) will analyse our palliative lung cancer patient data. We hope to find predictive factors that will help in treatment decision making for palliative lung cancer radiotherapy.
