Strike action from Thursday 27 June to Tuesday 2 July 2024

Junior doctors at The Christie will strike from 7am on Thursday 27 June until 7am on Tuesday 2 July 2024.

We are proactively contacting patients with appointments that may be affected. If you have an appointment on any of these dates, please continue to come to The Christie and our other centres as planned, unless we contact you to tell you otherwise. Please do not call to check if your appointment is still going ahead.

Clinical strategy and service design - draft

The Christie International advises clients on developing longer term strategic plans and models of cancer care.

The Christie has been a leader in oncology care for over 100 years and has pioneered many advances in treatment. We have a highly effective delivery model for ensuring high quality services, delivered closer to patients' homes.

The Christie’s medical director, Professor Chris Harrison, was the National Clinical Director for Cancer at NHS England and a number of The Christie’s clinicians are national leaders, setting policy for oncology services across England. This is particularly valuable when clients are considering broader citywide or urban strategic developments.

Taking account of local incidence and prevalence rates, demographics and local market factors, we advise our clients on:

  • Appropriate models of service delivery
  • Size and design of new oncology facilities
