Last week, we hosted a team from the OECI (Organisation of European Cancer Institutes) for a peer review visit to The Christie as part of our re-accreditation process as a comprehensive cancer centre. 

Over the course of 2 days, the peer review team met with colleagues from across the organisation. At the end of their visit, they provided feedback to our leadership team and those involved in the review, praising both what they observed and the people they spoke to. 

In particular, they highlighted the excellence of the staff they met on the wards and in the clinics, noting their strong sense of pride in working at The Christie. They also commended the positive and inclusive culture, which places the patient at the heart of everything we do. 

We expect to receive the final report and official notification regarding our re-accreditation in September 2025.
