The Trust has engaged the Federated Data Platform (NHS England » NHS FDP privacy notice) to assist with fast and secure processing of your information to better manage your care in these areas:

Patient Follow Up Product Description

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust uses the Federated Data Platform (PSFU) Patient Follow Up Product to support and improve the patient experience and outcomes by tailoring aftercare and self-management of patients on cancer pathways. The overall aim of this product is to personalise the follow up support patients receive after cancer treatment.

The use of the Patient Follow Up Product by The Christie aims to reduce delays in communicating results and enable faster clinical response to abnormal results which may require clinical intervention, as a result improving patient experience and outcomes.

Single Queue Diagnostic Product Description

The Christie uses the Single Queue Diagnostic Product to support and improve the services which identify illnesses for cancer patients. It allows appointments to be booked for you with Trusts across Greater Manchester.  This will hopefully mean you have a shorter wait for your test appointment.

The Single Queue Diagnostic Product processes personal information (called ‘personal data’ under data protection laws) about cancer patients who are scheduled to have appointments at a Trust and identify if they are able to be seen sooner if the patient is content to go to an alternative nearby Trust for that same appointment.

The use of the Single Queue Diagnostic Product by The Christie is intended to improve your wait time and support a faster diagnosis. This is completed through better use of the collective information that each of the Trusts across Greater Manchester hold, bringing together all required information into one place to support your care.
