Pamela is a retired qualified accountant and has worked for the last 17 years in NHS organisations in the North West. Since retiring, she has time to be able to commit to this role as a public governor and says she feels it fits well with her skills and experience.

With family members who have been treated at The Christie, Pamela says she can bring the patient perspective to the role.

As a foundation governor of 12 years in the education sector, Pamela understands the role of governor and the importance of governance and has made an impact and valued contribution to the Board at college. She also understands the challenges facing the NHS and see the patient perspective and the dilemmas that brings to hospital management.

Pamela feels this gives her insight to be an excellent governor, to help shape services and make patient experience at The Christie the very best it can be.
