Friday 12 September 2025, 9am to 4.30pm BST

What to expect

Cancer in young people (aged 16 to 25) is continuing to rise with 7 young people hearing ‘you have cancer’ each day across the UK. As services, we are continually addressing the everchanging landscapes for TYAs and ensuring that their every changing needs are met with a holistic approach.

Allied Health Professionals are key to meeting the breadth of needs of TYAs and this study day will focus on the holistic landscape of care for TYAs with cancer.

The topics covered will be:

  • Occupational Therapy - ‘Emerging from the Haze’ programme
  • Physical activity provides more than rehab and prehab for TYAs- it’s a lifestyle!
  • The education and employment needs of TYAs during and following cancer treatment
  • The role of complementary therapies for TYAs
  • Mock MDT panel with case studies
  • Patient experience

Intended audience

Allied Health Professionals including occupational therapists, physiotherapists and complementary therapists. Youth support workers, nurses and any other HCPs working with TYAs.
