Spotlight events at The Christie Charity

Thanks to everyone who attended our Spotlight event on Thursday 12 September 2024. Our next Spotlight event will be on Thursday 20 March 2025. We'll share more details of our March 2025 Spotlight event soon.

The Christie’s Teenage and Young Adult Service (TYA) celebrates its 10-year anniversary in 2024. Our September 2024 Spotlight event discussed how research and specialist care is at the forefront of this service, helping young people cope with both the physical and psychological symptoms of their illness and their cancer treatment.

Attendees heard from a patient about their TYA experience, as well as a talk from guest speaker Professor Martin McCabe, Honorary Consultant in Paediatric and Young Adolescent Oncology. They were also treated to a talk from Dr Hannah Slevin, Clinical Research Training Fellow.
