We want you to be part of team Christie this year by taking part in The Christie Challenge.

The Christie Challenge is to complete 6 different fundraising activities over the year. Whether you want to do a sponsored run, organise a bake sale or host an online quiz night, you can get involved.

And by taking on these 6 activities, you can earn a fabulous jigsaw medal featuring our rainbow Christie embrace.

You don't have to take on The Christie Challenge on your own either - you can team up with your family members, a group of friends or your colleagues. Work together and you can earn a jigsaw medal to share, while raising vital funds in support of cancer patients.

We need your support now more than ever. Take part in The Christie Challenge and help us keep moving for people with cancer.

How to get involved in The Christie Challenge

Every time you complete a fundraising activity in The Christie Challenge and raise £60 or more, we’ll give you a medal to mark your achievement. And when you’ve taken on 6 fundraising challenges, your fabulous 6 medals will fit together to make our rainbow Christie embrace.

Your first medal will also come in a decorative display box for you to treasure forever.

Your completed jigsaw medal will fit together in the display box.

Your fundraising activities for The Christie Challenge can be anything you choose. It could be a bake sale, a 5K run, fancy dress day, a sponsored bike ride – use your imagination to come up with some great ideas!

The Christie Challenge frequently asked questions (FAQs)

You will receive your first medal once you have completed your first challenge and The Christie charity has received your first £60 in sponsorship.

Each medal will be sent out after each challenge has been completed and we have received the minimum of £60 from each complete challenge.

If you’re taking on The Christie Challenge in a group or a team, you have 2 options for how you can raise funds for us:

  1. As many people as you want in a team: each team member completes 6 challenges, raises a total of £360 and receives a full set of medals and display box.
  2. Up to 6 people in a team: each team member completes 1 challenge and the team receives 1 full set of medals and display box to share.

We understand that sometimes life gets in the way and your fundraising might not go to plan. Your personal contact at The Christie charity will be able to work through this with you and help make your fundraising work for you.

Ideally your 6 challenges will be completed within 12 months but it’s not a problem if things take a little longer. Just talk to your charity contact and they will be sure to support you with everything you need within your timescales.

We aim to ensure that your main contact remains the same throughout your time with us. If this isn’t possible for any reason (for example, we have a change in staff) we will make sure you are introduced to your new contact. They will pick up everything with you where you need them to be.

Once your registration is completed and your charity contact has spoken to you for the first time, you will be invited to join our closed Facebook group. This will let you connect with other Christie challengers, share your success stories and seek additional advice and support with your fundraising.

No, you can fundraise in whatever way you choose. Although JustGiving is our preferred giving platform, you are more than welcome to fundraise using any available and regulated giving platform.
