Skydive 2025 terms and conditions
These terms and conditions apply to the Skydive, which shall be referred to as an ‘Event’. The Christie Charity will hereafter be referred to as ‘The Charity’.
By registering for an Event, you agree to comply with the below. Participants of Night of Neon should read this document carefully before registering to participate in the Event. The charity reserves the right to update or amend these to reflect necessary changes. Please check this page prior to your Event to familiarise yourself with latest updates as all changes. We reserve the right to ask participants and supporters to leave the Event if they do not adhere to these Terms and Conditions.
The Event is organised by The Charity, a registered charity with the Charity Commission; registered charity number: 1201654, registered address Wilmslow Road, Manchester, M20 4BX.

This challenge is a tandem skydive from 11,000ft.
Challenge date
The challenge will take place on 10 May 2025, 11 May 2025 and 13 September 2025.
Challenge terms and conditions
You must read and accept the Terms and Conditions issued by the Black Knights Parachute Centre. You can find the terms on the Black Knights Skydiving Centre website. If there is any conflict between these terms and those of Black Knight’s Parachute Centre, these terms will take precedence in respect of challenge payment and your fundraising and the Black Knight’s Parachute Centre terms will take precedence in respect to your participation.
Participation and fundraising
- The registration fee for this challenge is £50 which must be paid to The Charity at the point of registration, applicants who have successfully registered (hereinafter referred to as ‘Participants’) will be notified by way of email confirmation from The Charity acknowledging that a place has been allocated to you.
- Participants must be over the age of 16 on the date of the Event, participants ages 16 or 17 require permission from a legal guardian(s).
- We ask that participants pledge to raise a minimum of £400 (excluding gift aid and any registration fee) in sponsorship money. However please try to raise as much as possible to help support our vital work.
- Participants are required to raise 60% of their minimum sponsorship amount 4 weeks before the date of the Event, if The Charity have not received 60% of your sponsorship or proof of funds by this time, The Charity has the right to withdraw the participant.
- All participants have a legal responsibility to ensure that all sponsorship monies/donations received in connection with the Event are paid to The Charity. We ask participants to do so within one month of the event taking place. You can find out ways to pay by going to www.christies.org/donate or by contacting us.
- If The Event is cancelled or you decide not to participate, you are responsible for contacting your sponsors to inform them that you are no longer taking part and for confirming with them whether they are happy for the money they have donated to still be given to The Charity. If you are using sponsorship forms for your fundraising, all sponsorship forms and monies collected should be forwarded to The Charity or returned to your sponsors in accordance with their wishes.
- We are unable to accept sponsorship money at the Event as we do not have suitable cash handling facilities to fulfil this process.
- We respectfully ask all participants and their supporters not to use aggressive or abusive language towards our Event organisers, volunteers, and other participants. You should avoid behaving in a way which may cause injury or harm to others, or which may cause offence or damage to the reputation of the Charity.
Cancellations and changes
- Any participant intending to cancel their place in the Event shall inform the Charity as soon as reasonably practicable. The participant acknowledges that the registration fee is non-refundable.
- You may only transfer to another Event with our permission. Please contact us directly using the details on the website to enquire about transferring your place to another event. This may not always be possible and is at the discretion of The Charity.
- A Participant can transfer their entry to another individual provided this takes place at least one month prior to the Event date. Notice of this must be communicated by the outgoing Participant by emailing events@christies.org clearly stating the desire to make a participant transfer and the full name and email address of the new entrant (“Incoming Participant”).
- If the event is cancelled or postponed by Black Knights Parachute Centre due to an event outside their control, we will make all reasonable attempts with Black Knights Parachute Centre to reschedule the Event, but this is not guaranteed. If we are unable to rearrange another date you will be able to request a refund or kindly gift your registration fee to The Christie Charity.
Health, safety and medical
- Participants are responsible for ensuring that provide their correct age, height and weight upon registering for the Event.
- Participants are responsible for ensuring they comply with the age, weight, height and health restrictions listed in the terms of Black Knights Parachute Centre, you can find the terms on the Black Knights Skydiving Centre website.
- Participants aged 70 or over are responsible for ensuring the 115b form is completed and signed by a doctor regardless of their health to comply with the terms of Black Knights Parachute Centre.
Filming and photography
- The Charity and authorised photographer/videographer may film, or photograph persons present at the event and use such footage or photographs to publicise the Event for commercial and/or fundraising purposes including, but not limited to, advertising, publications, marketing materials and other document that maybe made available to the public and by our third party partners to publicise their involvement and/or association with the Event.
- By taking part participants confirm that they are happy for any video footage or photographs taken during their participation to be used by the Charity for the above. Should you prefer that the Charity do not use any such images in which you may appear which are taken at the Event, please contact us using the details listed on the website.
Liability
- All participants, volunteers and spectators enter and attend an Event entirely at their own risk. We shall not be liable for any injury, damage or loss to participants or their property that might occur as a result of their participation or attendance at an Event, other than in respect of any injury or loss arising as a result of our negligence. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in this clause shall exclude or limit our liability for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
Use of personal data
- You have provided The Christie Charity information about you and The Christie Charity will use and share this data to perform this contract. You understand that it will be necessary for The Christie Charity to share data with the Black Knights Parachute Centre in order for you to participate in this Challenge.
- We value your support and promise to respect your privacy. By providing your personal information you agree to us recording your details on our database, so we can provide you with the best possible support every time you contact us. We will also contact you from time to time by phone, email, text or post to tell you about how we can support you and how you can get involved with our team. Your details will be kept securely and only shared with our suppliers or partners who work on our behalf or with us to deliver and improve services for people affected by cancer. We never sell or swap your details with third parties. Complaints
Any complaints in relation to the Event should be made to events@christies.org
