Pass the baton
Are you looking for an interesting way to raise money for charity with your colleagues? Why not hold a 24-hour marathon event as a relay?
Relay events are a great way to fundraise with co-workers as it gives everyone the chance to take part. By holding an event for 24 hours, you can break this down into hourly sections for each team member.
You can also livestream your online relay charity event through Twitch, an online video platform that lets you broadcast live.
Some of the more obvious ideas are running on a treadmill or cycling on a static bike for 24 hours in hourly segments. But if you’re looking for a few more interesting ways to fundraise as a relay team, you could try these:
- Dancing marathon
- Zumba marathon
- Karaoke marathon
- ‘Knitathon’ – knitting as much as you can in an hour
It’s best to think of something you and your colleagues can all do – so think sporty if you’re more active or crafty if you’re more creative!
If you’re planning an online relay marathon event in support of The Christie, register your event and request a fundraising pack from us. We can send you fundraising tips and post you out a free Christie t-shirt to wear during the event, with more Christie t-shirts available to buy for your other colleagues.
