Scrub up well
If you want to put on an event that’s easy to organise and gets lots of people involved, a charity car wash is a good idea. And it’s also a great way to help support the vital work that The Christie does for cancer patients.
Hosting a charity car wash at a school or workplace can go down well – you’ll have a lot of willing volunteers to wash cars. Your car washers will get wet and soapy, so make sure they wear clothes they don’t mind getting damp.
Advertise your charity car wash event well – you need to make sure people will turn up. You can do this by sticking up posters around your local area and putting out some posts on Facebook.
Remember to include the time, date and location of the event. You should also put some information about The Christie, so people know what the charity car wash is in aid of.
Are you already planning to clean cars for The Christie? That’s great news! Just make sure you tell us about it so we can help you make the most of your event.
Register your event and request a fundraising pack from us. We can send you some great free resources, including a Christie t-shirt, collection boxes and posters.
Do you want to support The Christie this year? Take on The Christie Challenge and help us keep moving for people with cancer.
If you're organising a sponsored car wash as part of The Christie Challenge or as a separate fundraising activity, please create a JustGiving page in support of The Christie using the button below.
