Under the hammer
A live auction at your place of work or school is one way to host a charity auction for The Christie, but you can also organise an online auction. Online charity auctions are easier to manage – you don’t need somewhere to host it.
And what’s more, people might be more likely to bid if they can click onto your auction straight from social media.
Make sure to advertise your charity auction. If it’s a live auction, posters around your local area work well for this. If it’s an online auction, posts on Facebook might be better. Remember to include the time and date of your auction, as well as where you’re hosting it.
To hold an auction for The Christie, you’ll need to make sure you’ve got some items to sell – otherwise it won’t be much of an auction! See if any local businesses, friends or family members can donate items.
If you’re holding a charity auction for The Christie, remember to register your event and request a fundraising pack from us. We can send you out a free Christie t-shirt to wear on the day, with extra Christie t-shirts available for sale.
