Craig Keatley, Christie fundraiser

Craig is known to everybody as ‘FlipperKeatz’ for his habit of wearing flippers in endurance events.

The dad-of-two is well-known for his bizarre fundraising activities. These include walking 51 miles from Blackpool to Manchester and walking 31 miles from Anfield to Old Trafford, all in his famous flippers. And in 2022, Craig is taking his fundraising flipper walking global, with plans to go to Dublin in April and a Paris walk planned for June.

Now, 2 years on, Craig is still giving his support for the Touching Lives campaign to show how important the work of The Christie charity is.

“Life has been very tough for everyone during the past 2 years. People have not been able to access their doctors in a way they would normally pre-COVID.  Unfortunately, some of my friends and work colleagues have been recently diagnosed with cancer and have now started their own personal fight.
“I have so many positive stories from strangers and friends who have been supported and cared by The Christie. It’s such a cruel and horrible disease families up and down the country have to face every day. It’s just so reassuring that we have a wonderful charity that does so much for the patients and their families.”
