Professor Corinne Faivre-Finn, Christie consultant
Professor Faivre-Finn is an honorary consultant clinical oncologist at The Christie. She trained in Paris until 1998 and came to The Christie in 2001.
One of Professor Faivre-Finn's roles is the co-lead for the electronic patient reporter outcomes project (ePROMS) at The Christie. This lets patients report their symptoms before coming to their consultation. This has been really helpful, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, when clinicians had less direct contact with patients. The ePROMS project was funded by The Christie charity, and this is one reason why Professor Faivre-Finn is supporting The Christie charity's Touching Lives campaign.
“The Christie is extremely special. The most special part about it is how dedicated the staff are. I feel lucky to work with everyone here from porters to radiographers to nurses and beyond. Everyone works beyond what they are contracted, and everyone is very compassionate and focused on patient care.
“The Christie is also a place that is at the forefront of research nationally and internationally. We try our best to offer clinical trials to as many patients as possible as we constantly aim to improve patients outcome.”
