The Christie NHS Foundation Trust has appointed Sally Parkinson as the Executive Director of Finance and Business Development.
Sally, who joined the Trust in March 2020 as Deputy Director of Finance, is currently Interim Executive Director of Finance and Business Development.
Roger Spencer, Chief Executive of The Christie said: “Following a robust recruitment and interview process, I’m delighted to announce that Sally has been successfully appointed to the permanent position on our Trust board.
“Sally has a wealth of NHS experience and has previously worked as the Executive Lead for Finance and Investment for the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership. She has also held senior positions within a number of acute providers across Greater Manchester.
“I know I speak on behalf of all our board members when I say we are pleased to continue working with her and I know she will continue to support our staff who make a real difference to patients both in Greater Manchester and beyond.”
Sally is responsible for the finance, business development and capital planning teams within the Trust and is a director of The Christie Private Care, The Christie Pathology Partnership as well as being one of the Foundation Trust trustees on The Christie Charity Board.
Sally grew up in Kent, and moved to Manchester to study at the University. She is a qualified accountant and a fellow member of the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales). She lives locally with her family and enjoys her daily walk to and from work.
