To speak to any of our specialist teams here at The Christie, you'll first need to be referred.
UK NHS patients
If you live in England and get a cancer diagnosis, and you are being treated on the NHS, you can be referred to The Christie by your specialist doctor at your local hospital.
We also offer a second opinion if you're looking for additional advice and support. You'll need to go back to your GP for this, and they can then refer you to us.
Please note that patients from Wales may require additional local approval before we can offer an opinion and treatment.
When we get your referral from your doctor, we'll send you a response to acknowledge that it's arrived.
Our administrative team will then collect all the relevant information. This will help us give our opinion about whether you’re eligible for treatment at The Christie.
Private patients
Private patients from the UK or abroad can select the surgeon they wish to see by either phone or online.
Doctors making private referrals can write us a letter outlining the diagnosis, treatment to date and the reason for referral.
You can find further information on the The Christie Private Care website.
