I am a retired solicitor. I aim to give back to the community through The Christie and cancer care as my husband was successfully treated at The Christie and my mother died young of cancer so I am aware of the impact of the disease on families.  

As a former general counsel / company secretary for several companies, domestic and multi-national, I have a strong governance background, knowledge of how large organisations operate and their financing and as a former school governor an appreciation of a governor's work and responsibilities.
