Since being successfully treated for an aggressive form of breast cancer at The Christie, Sam has been an active supporter and fundraiser, raising over £80,000 to help others have a future without cancer. Her dad and father in law were also treated at The Christie - both sadly passed away so Sam says she knows there’s so much more to be done.
Sam says that being a governor, having a voice and representing members of her local community enables her to do more. She says she listens, is open and engaging and she knows she helps make a difference being able to positively influence The Christie’s strategic direction and future.
