Tim is a former headteacher and has been a governor of 3 schools. He co-founded 2 cancer charities, the Little Princess Trust (LPT) and the Mellor March and remains a trustee of both. The LPT as well as giving wigs to children with cancer is a major funder of paediatric cancer research.

At present, Tim is co-chair of the campaign Teach Cancer a Lesson that is aiming to guarantee that children diagnosed with cancer receive proper educational support.

Tim hopes that his experience in education and charitable work will help him make a valuable contribution as a governor of the Christie.
