Advanced Communications Skills Training - 2 Day Workshop (13 CPD Points)

This intensive and interactive training will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to adapt and build your communication practice and maintain those changes over time.

This advanced level, interactive training, focuses on adapting and developing your communication practice to have a lasting impact, in a professional setting. Its interactive delivery will allow you to:

• Discuss challenges such as breaking bad news, advanced care planning, handling anger or distress, difficult conversations with colleagues.
• Practice key skills and principles, receive constructive feedback and test out alternative strategies.
• Take away communication strategies that can be transferred to any interpersonal or professional context.

At the Maguire Communication Skills Training Unit, we have more than 40 years’ experience. We developed this course because we know that communication skills training that shows demonstrable changes in practice, that are maintained over time has the following essential components and we have structured our training around them.

Senior health and social care staff member - band 6 (NHS) equivalent and above.
