The Cancer Studies Research Group based at The Christie School of Oncology and Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute play a major role in allowing specialist registrars in clinical and medical oncology to fulfil the academic side of their training.
The revision workshop is intended as a revision back up following on from the pre-recorded lectures but this is not a pre-requisite. If you have already undertaken physics teaching within your own hospital Trust, this workshop is an aid to revision before sitting your FRCR part 1 examinations.
The workshop will follow the Royal College's FRCR 1 2021 teaching curriculum. Further details are available on the RCR curriculum webpages.
The workshop will be recorded and accessible via SharePoint to all registered candidates for revision purposes until 28 February 2025 in line with the autumn 2024 and spring 2025 RCR FRCR 1 examinations.
Low-to-Middle-Income Country (LMIC) course fees are offered at a 50% reduction. Countries eligible for LMIC reduced rate can be found on The World Bank website. Countries listed under the headings "Low-Income Economies" and Lower-Middle-Income Economies" will be considered.
If you are currently living in an LMIC, please email julie.edwards@cruk.manchester.ac.uk attaching proof of employment from your current hospital/institute before booking and completing registration on Eventbrite.
The teaching is designed for trainee medical and clinical oncologists and incorporates the FRCR part 1 syllabus including candidates for the Royal College FRCR part 1 examinations.
