Responsibilities
- Chemotherapy and radiotherapy for oesophagogastric and hepatobiliary cancers.
- Dr Bhatt is responsible for oesophagogastric cancers from South and Central Manchester and Bolton.
Professional biography
Dr Bhatt is a graduate of Manchester Medical School with an additional BSc(Hons) in Experimental Immunology and Oncology.
She returned to Manchester as a consultant having completed specialist training in the West Midlands, working at University Hospitals Birmingham, University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals and Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust.
Dr Bhatt has a special interest in the use of MR-linac for pancreatic cancers, and stereotactic radiotherapy for the upper abdomen.
Educational Interests
Dr Bhatt has an interest in Undergraduate Education. She is Oncology Block Lead for Manchester Medical School and The Christie Director of Undergraduate Medical Education. She is an Honorary Senior Lecture at University of Manchester.
On a national level, she has been a member of the RCR Clinical Oncology Undergraduate Steering Group.
