Responsibilities
Dr Hudson leads the urology systemic clinical trials clinic at The Christie and is responsible for delivering chemotherapy to urology patients across Greater Manchester. He visits Salford Royal to provide radiotherapy and systemic anti-cancer treatments for prostate and bladder cancer patients.
In addition, he treats penile cancer patients across North West England and North Wales. He is a member of the Drugs and Therapeutics Committee at The Christie and Research Lead for the Greater Manchester Urology Pathway Board.
Research Interest
Dr Hudson is the Chief Investigator for early phase clinical trials investigating the use of new medicines in prostate cancer in collaboration with the Experimental Cancer Medicine Team. He is also local Principal Investigator for various later phase clinical trials involving novel medicines and radiotherapy techniques.
He has a research background in translational science, with a PhD in cancer genomics, and collaborates with multiple lab groups in the Manchester Cancer Research Centre. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester and co-supervises clinical and basic science PhD students.
