Professional biography
Miss Myriokefalitaki graduated Medical School in Athens and completed her specialty training in 2011. She has been awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Minimal Access Surgery by the University D’ Auvergne in Clermont-Ferrand, in 2013; and a Masters Degree in Science on endometrial cancer research by the University of Athens, Greece, in 2014. She is an accredited colposcopists and trainer in colposcopy.
She completed a 3-year RCOG-accredited sub-specialty training programme in Gynaecological oncology at the University Hospitals of Leicester in 2015, and appointed at The Christie as Consultant Gynaecological Oncology Surgeon. Since then she has completed her training in Robotic surgery, and been awarded with the Diploma of Gynaecological Oncology Surgery by European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO) in November 2016. As a member of the gynaecological oncology team at The Christie, she performs Minimal Access Surgery (robotic and laparoscopic) for endometrial and cervical cancer, surgery for vulval cancer, as well as staging and fertility sparing for early stage ovarian cancer and cytoreductive surgery for advanced disease.
