Professional biography
Dr Lauren Oswald joined The Christie as a consultant in 2018. She read medicine at The University of Glasgow, graduating in 2009. Dr Oswald completed her post-graduate anaesthetic training in The Central London School of Anaesthesia. She undertook specialist training in anaesthesia for oncological surgery at The Royal Marsden and University College London Hospitals. She completed advanced paediatric anaesthetic training at King’s College Hospital. Her specialist clinical interests include anaesthesia for major oncological surgery and paediatric anaesthesia.
Dr Oswald was admitted as a Fellow of The Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2014. She has an active role in patient safety and medical education. Dr Oswald is governance lead for the anaesthetic department and clinical lead for ACSA (Anaesthesia Clinical Services Accreditation). She provides multi-disciplinary simulation training and is a clinical and educational supervisor.
