Professional biography
Dr Pemberton had multi-centre experience before becoming a consultant at The Christie in 2007, specialising in lung cancer. She now works as part of the lung team at Christie, Manchester Royal Infirmary and Stepping Hill hospitals. The clinical oncologists have great links with radiology and medical oncology colleagues and meet regularly to ensure professional development and best practice. As part of a large team, Dr Pemberton deals only with radiotherapy for lung cancer. Together the department now offers intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) and stereotactic using four-dimensional scanning.
