The Christie Charity
This team specialises in the treatment of children under the age of 16 years old.
All children will be under the joint care of The Christie and the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. Members of this team include clinical oncologists, paediatric oncologists, junior doctors, paediatric nurse clinicians, keyworkers, health play specialists, paediatric nurses, specialist radiographers and the paediatric anaesthetic team.
Patients and carers will meet the team before, during and after their proton beam therapy at The Christie. The consultant clinical oncologists on the team are Dr Smith, Dr Whitfield, Dr Pan and Dr Thorpe.
